Price College Help Desk

The Center for Economic and Management Research provides computer support for Price College fsculty and staff including:
  • Acquisition, installation and maintenance of computer hardware
  • Installation of operating systems, security patches and appropriate drivers
  • Responsibility for all Price College classroom technology
  • Software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Individual and network printer configuration
  • Installation of antivirus software and virus removal
  • Setup of file sharing services and backup and recovery through the PCB Network

The Price College Help Desk is an online service request system through faculty and staff can request technical assistance. A central feature of the Help Desk is that each submitted request is automatically prioritized by both the time received and the severity of the problem reported.

To reserve a computer lab select Reserve a Lab from the menu above. To find out about the AV equipment available for check out and to make reservations, select Reserve Equipment.

Price College Classroom Technology Support

The PCB IT is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all technology installed in Price College classrooms, special use rooms, presentation rooms, and conference rooms. Classroom technology support is divided into two primary categories; routine support and maintenance and emergency support.

Support services include:

  • Creation and installation of computer image for all classroom computers
  • l
  • Disposition of classroom work orders submitted via the PCB Help Desk
  • Special classroom equipment set-up requests
  • Weekly, preventive troubleshooting of all computing and audio-visual technologies in all Price College classrooms
  • On-site support staff ready to respond any time a class is in session
  • Ongoing technical education for support staff
  • Dedicated phone in each classroom direct to classroom support center
  • On-site support staff ready to respond any time a class is in session
